Raymond Joseph Plouffe, 83, passed away on April 22, 2021. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, TX. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Temple Garden of Memories in Temple, Texas.
Raymond was born on August 2, 1937 to Ovide Lewis Plouffe and Marie Blanche Plouffe in Lowell, Massachusetts. He joined the Air Force at age 17. While in the Air Force he achieved his GED and then continued on with his education graduating with a Bachelor of Science. He rose through the ranks to Captain. Raymond started as a medic and retired as a physician assistant. He served his country for 33 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he moved to New Mexico and worked as a physician assistant for a pediatrician. Later he worked for the NM state prison system, after which he retired a second time.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ovide and Marie Plouffe; wife, Joanne Talbot Plouffe; and 7 of his siblings.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Michael Plouffe, Keith Plouffe, and William Plouffe; his daughters, Cynthia Fortenberry, Sheri Espinosa, and Patricia Clemons; his 12 grandchildren; and 2 greatgrandchildren with “2” on the way; and his only surviving sibling is his brother, Richard Plouffe.
