Pastor Chester Harrison was born September 25, 1926, to Wash and Callie Harrison, Sr., in Forney, Texas.
He was married to the late Eddie Beatrice Williams on May 1, 1945. He accepted Christ at an early age,
united with Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Temple, Texas, and later, became the Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Temple, Texas. He, along with his wife, Lady Eddie Beatrice Harrison, faithfully led the Mt. Olive Baptist congregation for 51 years, until he retired and served as the Emeritus Pastor. He also served as the Board Director for LaGrange District. He worked for Johnson Collision Center and for Temple Independent School District as a Crossing Guard for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Glenda Harrison; and grandson, Patrick Harrison.
Survivors are sons, Ronald Harrison of Temple, and Michael Harrison of Waco, Texas; brothers, Roy Harrison and Wash Harrison of Pflugerville, Texas; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
