Mother Nadine McIntyre Granger was born on January 23, 1933, to the parentage of the late Willie McIntyre and Anna Lewis McIntyre in Milam County. She graduated from Dunbar High School in Temple, Texas. She worked in Civil Service in Fort Hood, Texas, for a few years, before working at the Temple Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. Nadine Granger retired after 34 years of service.
She united with Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ, Temple, Texas, for over 75 years. She was a licensed Missionary in the Church of God in Christ. Mother Granger served as District Missionary for 25 years, from 1992-2017. Locally, she served as Church Mother from 2003-2017. She was president of the Busy Bees, choir member, Young Women Christian Council member, Christian Women Council member, Prayer and Bible band president. Mother Granger was the Texas Southwest Women’s Department Missionary’s Examining Board and the 49 and Under president.
Survivors are daughters, Brenda Dorsey and Tina Wells of Temple, Texas; seven grandchildren, Natasha McIntyre King (Chris), Tamiko McBride, Gregory Campbell (Camesha), Latandra Horner, Danica Valdez (Ramiro), Alfre Wells, and Keturah Anthony; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of relatives and friends.
