Hosie S. Scott Jr. was born August 25, 1942, in Clarendon, Arkansas to Hosie and Jettie Anna Scott.
Hosie left Arkansas when he joined the Army in 1961. He was sent to Ft. Hood and eventually moved to Temple where he lived the rest of his days.
Upon leaving the military Hosie dabbled in working with concrete and being a butcher before deciding on the life of a truck driver, enjoying the open road for 35 years.
Hosie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margaret Jo, and his daughter, Anna Lela.
He is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Scott, his son, Samuel James Scott; ten nieces and nephews; 32 great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece and nephew; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two goddaughters and his circle of friends.
