Earlene Byrd, 83, passed away Monday, January 10th, 2022 in Temple, Texas. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Cole Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
Earlene was born January 20, 1938 to David Earl and Lillie (Perkins) Coleman in Menard, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Temple, Texas. Earlene married the love of her life, Verdie Byrd on July 26, 1958. She was a homemaker. Earlene was a faithful member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and most of all, her grandchildren. Earlene is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Vince, siblings, Bill Coleman, Joyce Evelyn, Lois Rowan, David Coleman, and Lorine Benton.
Survivors include her son Harold Byrd and wife, Jane of Kempner, Texas, daughters, Janice Haas and husband, William of Belton, Texas, Frances Daniels of Temple, Texas and Rebecca Zahn and husband, Cord of Temple, Texas; grandchildren: Patrick, Kimberly, Amanda, Kayla, Eric, Jessica and Colton; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Emily, Liam, Patrick, Laney, Bodie, and Jayla; sister, Edna Moseley.
